The Brock Township Public Library subscribes to over 70 electronic databases covering a wide variety of subject areas. We've also included many internet website links that you may find helpful.

This library represents the most authoritative automotive repair information available to car owners. There are thousands of year, make and model combinations covering the most popular vehicles of the past 30 years, plus additional coverage of specialty models.
Careers, Jobs & Self-Improvement
Career Cruising
This is a fully bilingual database which has been designed to help students and others plan their future. Users are able to access hundreds of detailed occupation profiles – everything from Actuary to Zookeeper. Profiles include: job descriptions, working conditions, education and training, earnings, and links to related occupations and other resources. It also provides a national database of post-secondary schools which includes detailed information on colleges, universities and other training opportunities. A new Employment guide and job search feature have recently been added.

eLibrary Elementary
The ultimate elementary reference resource, eLibrary Elementary offers full-text reference resources that tailors all the media types and search functionality of eLibrary for the young reader and researcher. It's an easy-to-use general reference database designed specifically to engage and guide younger students. With more than 140 magazines, newspapers, books, transcripts, maps, images, educator-approved websites from Homework Central®, plus audio/ video titles, all selected as appropriate for elementary school studies. It is powerful, yet engaging and easy-to-use.
Kids InfoBits
Kids InfoBits targets the research needs of elementary students. It features a developmentally appropriate and visual graphic interface, a subject-based topic tree search and full-text, age-appropriate, curriculum-related magazine and reference content.
PebbleGo
PebbleGo, the award winning K-3 database for reading and research provided by Eduref and Capstone Publishing, features two distinct databases for Kindergarden to Grade 3 students:

Both databases have built in reading and research tools, and are expertly leveled for emerging readers. There are audio prompts to support navigation, and all articles include narrated text and highlighting.

TumbleBook Cloud is an online collection of read-along titles for middle school and high school students which features adjustable online text and complete audio narration.

TumbleBook Library is an online collection of over 200 animated, talking e-books for children in Kindergarten up to Grade 6 (approximately).

World Book Online for Kids was developed especially for young public library patrons. The site offers easy-to-read articles and a wealth of engaging multimedia, games, science projects, interactive tools, and activities.

NoveList French Interface
A french interface of the NoveList database.
Novelist Grades K-8
NoveList K-8 contains enhanced subject access for over 60,000 fiction titles aimed at the K-8 population. Full-text reviews from sources like School Library Journal and Booklist are available for many titles.
NoveList K-8, a fiction database, is designed with a bright, appealing layout, designed especially for elementary and middle schools. The “Working with Kids” section of the Browse panel on the homepage provides a single location to access all of the curricular materials such as our Grab and Go Book Lists, BookTalks, Picture Book Extenders and more.
Novelist
The NoveList database includes information on more than 180,000 fiction titles for all ages with subject and keyword access; more than 36,000 individiual subject headings (fiction) ; 200,000+ full-text reviews and descriptions from Booklist, Library Journal, School Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, and others. Searches can be limited by reading level, using Lexile scores to match students with books geared to their reading level.
World Book Online Info Finder
World Book Online Info Finder contains content and features designed for school-aged patrons’ homework and research needs. Based on the World Book Encyclopedia, the site features rich collections of multimedia on a variety of topics, science fair projects; a Biography Center; links to world newspapers, correlations to curriculum standards, 21st century research guides, and much more.

World Book Online Reference Center is a powerful reference tool for advanced researchers and information seekers.
